Metropolitan Tour Madrid and Barcelona 10 Days

Day 2

Madrid (3 nights): transport to hotel. Walking tour of historic district and time to unwind from flight.

Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Mercado de San Miguel. Discover all the hidden treasures of the old section in Madrid: tapas, cafés and great shops. Your neighborhood is Atocha and the lively and picturesque Plaza de Santa Ana.

Day 3

Tour El Palacio Real and El Prado Museum:  Spend the day with your guide sharing her incredible knowledge of the Royal Palace and one of the most important museums in Europe.  The Spanish masters will come alive with this tour.

Day 4

Depart for Segovia via El Escorial.  Tour the monastery El Escorial or Valley of the Fallen and continue on to Segovia.  Home of the most impressive Roman aqueduct and the Alcazar, inspiration of Disney’s castle. Spend the night in this quaint city right on la plaza mayor.

Day 5

Day trip to Toledo:  Spend the day in the first Capital of Spain.  Walking tour of this city on a hill. Experience the historic influence of the different ethnicities that lived in harmony in this beautiful city.  Tour the Cathedra, the most impressive in Spain, San Tomé Church the works of el Greco and the Zamorano Sword making company. Return late afternoon to Madrid

Day 6

Depart for Barcelona: High speed train
Guided tour of Las Ramblas and Park Güell the masterpiece of Gaudí

Day 7

Guided tour of La Sagrada Familia. Experience the incredible creation of Gaudí not yet finished. Explore the neighborhood and visit the Barcelona Beach and relax.

Day 8

Trip to Figueras and the Dalí Theater Museum Experience the unique art of one of the most important surrealists. The museum in Figueras is an experience of the genius of Dalí through many mediums. Spend the afternoon at Rosas Beach before returning to Barcelona.

Day 9

Day trip to Montserrat: This unique rock formation is home to a Benedictine monastery and is a famous pilgrimage spot as it is home to the 12th century wooden statue of La Moreneta (The Black Virgin), Catalonia’s patron. The Monastir de Montserrat is a source of Catalan pride as well. This half day tour will bring group to the Montserrat Abbey and incredible views from the cog rail and the heights over the province of Catalunya.

Day 10

Depart Barcelona for USA
